Adult Day Health Care is a supervised daytime program that provides skilled nursing and rehabilitative therapy services as well as personal care services. The services are appropriate for adults with medical or disabling conditions that require the intervention and service of a registered nurse (RN) acting under the supervision of the client’s physician.
The ADHC program staff oversees a variety of activities specially designed to meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of adults who may be physically challenged or coping with dementia or memory loss. These activities can range from arts and crafts to discussion groups or light exercises of safe care for functionally impaired persons. These activities can also include case management, individual counseling, and health screening.
